Description: This course explores the psychological underpinnings of organizational behavior and the impact of individual differences on decision making, group performance and interaction within organizations. Emphasis is placed on decision making and problem solving processes with an emphasis on management skills and strategic planning. Topics include decision theory, innovation, creativity and organizational change, motivation and leadership. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 3000 or PSYC 3020 , in addition to permission of instructor. The student will demonstrate the ability to understand and use statistical principles in research, work planning, and operationalization of organizational behavior. The student will identify multiple components of a work group or organization and will be able to apply appropriate theoretical frameworks for understanding them.
