Legal Research for Policy Practitioners is a required course that provides an introduction to legal research and writing techniques and to drafting of policy reports. The course will enable students to understand the importance of legal writing as well as how legal writing contributes to policy development and implementation. Emphasis will be placed on the development of skills in research, drafting, revision, and editing. Aspects of legislative history, administrative interpretation, and case law will also be included in the topics discussed. A primary purpose of this course
