In this course, students will learn the skills necessary to identify and effectively address public health challenges in a variety of settings. Students will examine how to assess, evaluate, and apply public health theories and methods of practice to planning, program development, implementation, evaluation, and change. A major emphasis will be on developing an awareness of a variety of ethical issues in public health. The information presented will be relevant to students who are involved with community or governmental organizations as well as those seeking careers in academic settings.
